Protect your Identity
Technological advances have provided us many convenient methods to conduct business. We have come a long way from the money-pouches and locked chests of centuries past. Now, it is possible to buy anything from a box of cigars to a house with the use of a piece of plastic. It’s all very convenient, and seemingly allows one to hold access to all of your money and keep it safe from getting stolen or lost.
Even still, using credit cards and various other high-tech methods of transaction do have their faults: more chances for id fraud. You may suddenly find large charges on your credit card for something you didn’t purchase. The situation can become even worse if your identity was utilized to conduct some kind of illegal transaction.
What should you do if you become a victim of ID fraud?
First of all one should never have to face the harsh reality. Identity theft protection is a must for everyone. A Dateline study was done where they sought out illicit online forums where hackers exchanged sensitive info of unsuspecting people for the right price. Their blog comments were incredibly apalling. Some of these thieves are readily willing to sell every bit of a strangers info for 20 dollars. This would include SS#, driving license info, and credit card information. Picture how your life could turn upside down if your personal information were to get into the wrong hands.
Pre-Paid Legal Services is there to prevent one from becoming a victim of identity theft or identity fraud. They have an amazingly cheap service known as the Identity Theft Shield. This shield monitors your credit at all times and makes you aware of any changes to your identity file that are considered unregcognized. There is no limitation on the number of alerts you can recieve. The shield makes sure your id remains secure at all times. Do not let yourself become a victim. Shield your identity now.
